Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with us and John Brown Lives!
Kids of all ages and their adults are invited.
We will start with a story hour led by Martha Swan of John Brown Lives! The theme will be Martin Luther King’s belief in “Beloved Community,” and we’ll explore the issue of food security. Tammy Johnson, of the Westport Food Shelf, will take us on a field trip to the food shelf (which is just next door).
We’ll also enjoy a lunch inspired by the flavors of Atlanta—Martin Luther King’s home town (and Amy’s too!).
- Monday, Jan 20, 10am – 2pm
- Free, but please bring an item for the food pantry. See the list below for their current needs.
- All ages are welcome (but this is not a drop-off event; plan to stay with your child/ren).
