Accessibility at Snowfort
At Snowfort, we are committed to making our bookstore and event space as welcoming and inclusive as possible. We want every visitor to feel at home here. Below is an overview of our current accessibility features, as well as some important notes.
Parking & Entry

Accessible car parking is available directly in front of the store.

Van-accessible parking is also available.

A ramp leads to the main entrance, which is 36 inches wide.

There are no steps or uneven ground inside — all flooring is level throughout the store, except a 6′ x 8′ area in the back, which we use for a stage during events; there are some children’s books there. Staff will assist.

Inside the Bookstore

Aisles are at least 36 inches wide, and there is 60 inches of turning space in key areas.

Our layout is open and maneuverable, with flexible seating during events to accommodate mobility needs.
Lighting

The store is well-lit with even, adjustable LED lighting throughout.

We avoid harsh overhead glare and use diffused lighting in reading and event areas.

Natural light is present during the day, and we can adjust blinds and interior lighting for comfort upon request.
Restroom Accessibility

Note: Our restroom entrance is 29 inches wide and the room is not fully wheelchair accessible due to limited space inside.
Apartment / Residency

The apartment above the store is not wheelchair accessible. Access requires climbing 15 stairs, and there is no landing or elevator.
